"Delightful “little wood house in the mountains”" For Fathers Day I surprised my husband with a weekend getaway in Big Bear. We absolutely loved this place! It was conveniently located to everything, had plenty of room, a smart TV, ample supplies and it was very clean. We have a 4 year old little girl who was delighted with the corner coloring desk. She asked me “Mommy, can we please come back to our “little wood house in the mountains?” Well folks it doesn’t get much better than that! My family was able to take time out of our crazy lives to relax and reconnect in this elegant, delightfully charming home. We will definitely be back!!!

"So many nice touches!" I'll start by saying I really wanted to deduct a star because of the check-in policy. It's the only VRBO we've stayed in that required in-person check-in, and only gives you a 2-hour window to do it. The only thing they did was copy my drivers license, which they already had, and give me the key code, which could have been emailed. It was a big pain, especially worrying that Friday traffic would make us late for check-in, and completely unnecessary. It really started the trip off wrong. But once we got there, the stress began to melt away. This cabin is so obviously well loved by the owners. From the chairs that are high enough to actually allow you to enjoy the view, the cushions and umbrellas that make it more comfortable to sit there, and the blankets available for chilly mornings - this is just one example of the little touches that made this cabin such a pleasant place to relax. We enjoyed the games so much that I searched Ebay when I got home to find the same era of Guesstures. The 2nd floor bedroom did get hot, and there's not really a good way to get a cross breeze going. The grill was tricky; it seemed to have two temps - off and really really hot. I'm not sure if the foil wrapped around the burners was the reason, but it made cooking food a little challenging. The extra propane tank was another nice feature. No worry about running out mid-steak. This cabin was at the heart of a very relaxing stay. I'm very glad we chose it."

"Perfect Clean Comfortable Cozy Cabin" We so enjoyed the cabin, and the deck. Perfect size was larger than I thought it would be. Everything was in its place WOW!! even the pots and pans. Family from Memphis, Tn. came with us. We enjoyed the beautiful weather sitting on the deck and having a cocktail. Having the gas grill was great, we made our husbands cook. :) Enjoyed the Village, and going up the ski lift and hiking around Snow Summit. FUN! The cabin is so well kept up LOVED! everything about it. Perfect location Boulder Bay. Thank You so much for sharing your cabin. Can't wait to come back SOON!!

"Family Fun at Boulder Bay" Our family of 4, with 2 kids 8 and 5 yrs old, stayed here for the holiday weekend. We found the place easily and it is nicely located on the corner of a clean and friendly neighborhood. We found the cabin very clean, cozy, and the perfect size for our family. There were several unique touches: fun games, lots of puzzles, very clean and comfy Lazy Boy chairs, funny plaques on the walls, beautiful artwork throughout, handmade curtain tie backs, and plenty of warm cozy blankets. Our girls enjoyed having the upstairs to themselves where there were comfy beds and their own tv. The heating of the cabin was perfect using the floor heaters. The master bedroom was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen table was perfect for our family dinners, and downtown Big Bear and the local stores were not too far away if we needed something else. Most of the time we spent right outside the cabin. There were 3 areas just steps away perfect for sledding and building snowmen. You can even sled the hill right off the balcony. We had a great time, and would love to come back.

"Great family getaway" Had a terrific time. Cabin had just about everything needed. We were able to enjoy drinks on the patio while the kids went sledding just below. Would definitely recommend four wheel drive. We saw plenty of people have trouble climbing the hill on Catbird Lane. We will absolutely stay here again.
